Below are details of the research team, their roles during the project and the creation of NIV4MND.

We are also grateful to people living with motor neurone disease, their family members and carers, healthcare professionals, the National Institute for Health Research, HMA and the myBreathing project team who contributed during the research project to develop NIV4MND.

Professor Christopher McDermott

Professor of Translational Neurology in the Sheffield MND Care and Research Centre, Sheffield Institute for Translational Neuroscience, University of Sheffield.

Provided project oversight and governance, as well as clinical expertise throughout the project.

Dr Esther Hobson

Consultant Neurologist in the Sheffield MND Care and Research Centre, Sheffield Institute for Translational Neuroscience, University of Sheffield.

Chief investigator of the project who supported the day-to-day management of the project and provided clinical expertise.

Dr Haris Stavroulakis

Lecturer in Clinical Neuroscience, Sheffield Institute for Translational Neuroscience, University of Sheffield.

Co-lead of the project and supported the day-to-day management and conduct of the project.

Lucy Musson

Led the day-to-day running of the research project undertaken to develop NIV4MND.
